Moldovan pholologist celebrates birthday

Chisinau, 18 September /MOLDPRES/- Philologist and literary historian Alexandrina Matcovschi, PhD in philology, teacher is celebrating 80th birthday today.

She was born in 1941, in the village of Brânzenii Vechi, Soroca county (today Telenești district). He studied at the State University of Moldova, Faculty of Philology (1964).

She started professional activity as a senior scientific collaborator at the Institute of Language and Literary History of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, where also studied postgraduate between 1966-1969.

She is the author of studies and articles on Romanian-Russian cultural and literary relations. She signed the biographical sketches "Polihronie Sîrcu" (1967), "Alexandr Iațimirschi" (1979) and others.
