Low turnout recorded in elections in Gagauzia

Chisinau, 20 September /MOLDPRES/- Gagauz residents had a low turnout in elections in Gagauzia.
Therefore, second round of voting will be held on October 3 in 11 constituencies.
Also, due to the low turnout, the elections did not take place in six constituencies. In these constituencies, the second round of elections for the People's Assembly of Gagauzia will take place in two weeks, on October 3.
On September 19, 2021, elections in the People's Assembly took place in the Gagauzia Autonomous Territorial Unit. For the 35 seats in the legislative body of the region, 123 candidates fought.
