Moldovan president has more informal meetings in New York

Chisinau, 23 September /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu has had more informal meetings, during her visit to New York, where she participates in the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly, the presidential press service has reported.
At an invitation by President of Poland Andrzej Duda, the head of state participated, along with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, in a working supper organized by Poland’s Representation at the UN. The three leaders discussed the cooperation within the Eastern Partnership. They tackled the subject on the prospect for the accession of Moldova and Georgia to the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) and possibility of harmonizing the international roaming prices between the Eastern Partnership countries and EU.
Also, President Maia Sandu had a meeting at the Open Society Foundation, where she discussed opportunities of cooperation in the sector of promotion of reforms in education. Maia Sandu also met Moldova’s Honorary Consul in New York Mark Meyer, who is member of the New York bar association and of the group of arbitrators from the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). The discussion was focused on the justice reform in Moldova.
