As many as 1,194 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 24 September /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 8,800 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,194 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. 18 out of these cases are import ones. Thus, 287,730 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 20 out of all cases of infection are among medical employees (2 - physicians, 13 -medical assistants and 5 - auxiliary staff).

As many as 1,911 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 135 are in extremely serious condition and 12 patients are connected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 7,121 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 17,013 are under supervision at home.

Another 1,012 people have been treated. As many as 271,652 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 16 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,665 people have died of coronavirus in all.
