Number of children with COVID-19 increased in Chisinau

Chisinau, 27 September /MOLDPRES/- The level of collective immunity has been reached among teachers in municipal educational institutions in Chisinau.

Mayor Ion Ceban said at today's online meeting of the municipal services that "the pandemic situation in Chisinau is unpredictable", and "among teachers working in the 131 educational institutions in the municipality collective immunity is achieved."

At the same time, the mayor said that the number of children with coronavirus has increased. "The children's hospital is crowded. We have decided to open an additional 63 COVID-19 treatment places at the V. Ignatenco Children's Hospital ", added the quoted source.

The mayor also asked the Health and Social Assistance Directorate to mobilize additional resources to vaccinate the city's residents. "We have enough doses of vaccine, we have enough vaccination points - vaccination is the only way to deal with the pandemic," Ceban said.
