Moldovan president meets rector of University Agency of La Francophonie

Chisinau, 28 September /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu met today rector of the University Agency of La Francophonie (AUF) Slim Khalbous, who is on a working visit to Chisinau.

According to the presidential press service, the head of state welcomed the programs carried out by AUF in the eight member universities of the Moldovan network, as well as the support provided, in various fields, by the International Organization of La Francophonie.

The discussion focused on the prospect of expanding francophone projects in our country, for the benefit of the university community and the francophone scientific community. The President appreciated the priorities announced by AUF for the Republic of Moldova. These include encouraging university mobility for students and teachers, including the internationalization and modernization of university centers; support for research projects; developing professional inclusion and entrepreneurship programs for students, thus increasing their chances of entering the labor market. At the same time, Maia Sandu mentioned the importance of supporting training programs for school and university teachers.
