Moldovan parliament speaker hands prizes to national team of Taekwon-do GTF

Chisinau, 29 September /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu today handed distinctions to the members of the national team of the Taekwon-Do Federation from Moldova, who returned with prizes from the European Championship Kazan 2021, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

Distinctions of the first, second and third degrees were handed to nine sportspeople, as a token of gratitude for the good results achieved and occupying first places at the international sports competition. Also, the leadership of the Taekwon-Do Federation and the chief coach received distinctions of the first degree for special merits in the development and promotion of sport in Moldova.

The parliament speaker congratulated the sportspeople for the prizes got and wished them success in continuation. ‘’You are true ambassadors of our country. Due to you, people learn that one can make performance and be successful in Moldova as well. Therefore, we are proud of you,’’ the parliament speaker said.

European Championship in Taekwon-Do took place in Kazan in last July and Moldovan wrestlers returned home with more than 20 distinctions.
