Roadmen start preparation of national roads for winter season in Moldova

Chisinau, 6 October /MOLDPRES/ - The State Administration of Roads (ASD) undertakes measures of preparing roads and road enterprises for the work in the winter season 2021-2022. The activities are carried out through 12 road enterprises for exploitation of roads, Drumuri (Roads) stock company, with which ASD signed a construction contract.   

According to the institution 517 vehicles and road equipment units are involved in the carrying out of works of clearing the snow and distribution of anti-skid material on the public roads. At present, over 23,000 tons of anti-skid materials were prepared, of which over 8,000 tons of technical salt and about 18,000 tons of sand, in order to combat the glazed frost on the public roads.  

Starting from next November, a 24-hour service of the state enterprise, State Administration of Roads, will work for the quick informing about the conditions of the traffic on the winter period.
