Moldovan judges, prosecutors willing to become lawyers to have to take exams

Chisinau, 6 October /MOLDPRES/ - The judges and prosecutors with a length of service of at least ten years and who want to become lawyers might be exempted only from making the probation, not also from the exam for the promotion into this profession. The parliament’s juridical commission for rules and immunities approved a draft law to this effect today.
Under the document, at the same time, they will have to attend at least 20 classes on deontology.
The draft’s authors say that the amendments suggested are aimed at strengthening the institution of the Bar, creating a fair system of justice administration, due to guarantee the independence and high professional quality of the lawyers in the exercising of their profession.
