Procedure of carriage of farming products from eastern Moldova settlements to be simplified

Chisinau, 6 October /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet of ministers today approved the exemption from the value added tax (VAT) of the farmers who own lands placed beyond the Rabnita-Tiraspol highway, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.  

The decision adopted by the cabinet opens a green corridor through the internal customs checkpoints for the farmers and agricultural producers from the villages of the eastern Dubasari district. In this respect, the government filled in the regulation on the carriage of goods in the settlements from Moldova’s eastern region through the internal customs checkpoints.   

The document’s goal is to remove the social and political difficulties which can appear in the process of transportation of the farming goods by the owners of lands placed beyond the Rabnita-Tiraspol highway.   

Thus, the draft sees the exemption from the payment of VAT of the agricultural producers from the villages Molovata Noua, Cocieri, Dorotcaia, Pohrebea, Cosnita and Parata, provided that the original certificated is presented, issued by the settlement’s mayoralty, which is to prove the owning of the lands possessed, with the indication of their area, as well as original act, released in the way established by the Dubasari district council as to the quantity of production forecast to be harvested.   

So far, the agricultural production got by private people or legal entities from the lands placed on the eastern part of the Rabnita-Tiraspol M4 highway has been subjected to control and taxes as imported agricultural production.   

The issue was tackled at a 23 September 2021 meeting between Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita and farmers from the Dubasari district.
