Sectors of competence of leadership of Medicine and Medical Devices Agency to be extended in Moldova

Chisinau, 6 October /MOLDPRES/ - The leadership offices at the Medicine and Medical Devices Agency (AMDM) will be able to be held also by people with education in the field of medical devices and/or biomedical engineering, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.  

The government today voted for the draft which sees the exclusion of the limits of employment at the managerial level at the institution. So far, only candidates with education in the field of medicine and/or pharmacy have been accepted to these offices.  

The amendments made are aimed at strengthening AMDM’s capacities and improving the management processes in all the competence sectors. Thus, by excluding the limits of employment, the leaders will be provided wider powers not only in the medical and pharmaceutical field, but also in the one of medical devices.  

The Medicine and Medical Devices Agency, being authority competent with the regulation in the medical devices sector, it is necessary that the organization of its work, at the management level, be able to ensure the consolidation of the status with the expertise and confidence in the accurate information and provided in time, in all fields of competence, including in the one of medical devices, reads the document approved by the cabinet members today.
