Moldovan fruits displayed at exhibition in Spain

Chisinau, 7 October /MOLDPRES/ - Apples, table grapes and plums from Moldova are displayed at an exhibition titled, Fruit Attraction, staged in Spain on 5-7 October.   

Eleven fruits producers from both banks of Dniester participate in the exhibition. They promote their products at this event due to the support provided by Sweden and the United Kingdom within the project Development of Export Capacities on the Banks of Dniester (AdTrade) of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Centre for promotion of imports from developing countries, Investments Agency and International Finance Corporation.    

„The activities of promotion, organized jointly with the members of Moldova Fruct, get closer the producers from the two banks of Dniester. This is our first participation in an international specialized exhibition. According to our notices, for the seed crops, the European market is a promising one, towards which we must orient,’’ a fruit producer from the left bank of Dniester, Andrei Chizil, said.  

The presence at the Fruit Attraction exhibition is one of the medium-term goals of the Moldova Fruct Association, which sees Moldova’s placement on the world map as reliable provider of inoffensive and quite tasty fruits.   

„We have already made progress in the export of our fruits in the region and we regards this event as a good platform to meet and promote the supply to the new fruits traders, especially from the Western Europe and, why not, North Africa,’’ the executive director of Moldova Fruct, Iurie Fala, said.
