As many as 1,470 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 8 October /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 9,386 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,470 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Sixteen out of these cases are import ones. Thus, 304,678 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 19 out of all infection cases are among medical employees.

As many as 2,370 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 220 are in extremely serious condition and 32 patients are connected to mechanical ventilation.

Another 1,199 people have been treated. As many as 286,951 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 25 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,979 people have died of coronavirus in all.
