Moldovan-Slovak project to provide city with sewerage system launched in Rezina

Chisinau, 11 October /MOLDPRES/- The authorities initiated the activities within the Moldovan-Slovak project Improving the quality of life of the citizens of Rezina: ensuring access to the sewerage system. The launch took place by organizing an online meeting of the project partners, with the participation of representatives of the Agency for Regional Development Senec-Pezinok (Slovakia), the Center Regional Development Agency (Republic of Moldova) and the Rezina City Hall.

The participants established the activity plan for the next period, outlining the objectives of each partner and ensuring the combination of efforts for the successful start of the project.

ADR Center head Pavel Trofin thanked the Slovak partners for the 5th joint project launched with the partners of ADR Senec-Pezinok, aimed at improving the living conditions of the inhabitants of the region.

According to Eva Balazovicova, project manager, representative of the Slovak Agency for Regional Development Senec-Pezinok, each of the collaborations adds value to this partnership established many years ago.

The project activities are planned to increase the quality of life of the inhabitants of Rezina through better access to the sewerage network. Relevant indicators within the project are: installation of 3.39 km of pipeline; increasing the connection rate of the population in the city of Rezina by 7.4%, to 68.4%; informing over two thousand inhabitants of the city about the importance of using the sewerage system, according to ADR Center.

The total value of the project is 218 thousand euros. The implementation period of the project is planned for October 2021 - March 2023.
