Chisinau, 13 October /MOLDPRES/- The government today approved a draft law that will allow the expansion of digital tools used in relations between state institutions and businesses. Thus, the representatives of the business environment will interact with the remote authorities and will no longer have to present in physical form a lot of documents, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

Among the most important aspects of the document approved by the Cabinet of Ministers are:

Economic agents will be able to register and manage their business remotely through the electronic tools provided by state institutions.

Simplification of the procedures for receiving and issuing applications and documents in electronic format by public authorities. The changes will also allow the recognition of qualified electronic signatures, issued by qualified providers in the European Union.

Simplifying the process of obtaining the electronic signature. This can be achieved through institutions other than certification service providers. At the same time, the project clearly delimits the documents that can only circulate with electronic signature from the documents in electronic format, which do not require this signature.

Elimination of the obligation of economic agents to notify and register at the National Center for Personal Data Protection. This procedure is excluded in all 28 countries of the European Union since May 2018.

The project was publicly consulted on the platform of the Parliamentary Committee on Economy, Budget and Finance and endorsed by the relevant public authorities and institutions.

The decision approved today by the Government provides for the amendment of 28 normative acts.

The normative adjustments are to be approved in two readings by the parliament in order to enter into force.
