Rehabilitation of road in Telenesti, Rezina districts to be ready in March 2022

Chisinau, 15 October /MOLDPRES/- The management of the State Road Administration (ASD) monitored the rehabilitation process of Corridor 10, which crosses the localities of Chistelnița, Scorțeni from Telenești and Meșeni districts, Ignăței, Peciște, Pripiceni-Răzeși, Pripiceni-Curchi, Trifești from Rezina district. According to ASD, the route will be ready in March 2022.

The improvement works are carried out on three road sections with a total length of 36.5 km. The Turkish contractor is currently working on widening and rebuilding the existing roadway, consolidating stormwater drains, building curbs, and earthworks.

ASD management inspected the site and production base, as well as the contractor's testing laboratory. "There are some difficulties related to stormwater drainage. We provided the support and advice needed to overcome them. We warned the contractor to solve all the design problems until the spring, so as not to admit delays ", said the interim general director of ASD, Sergiu Bejan.

The repair of road segments aims at developing the infrastructure of the region, creating favorable conditions for attracting new economic agents, ensuring citizens' access to schools, kindergartens, hospitals, shopping centers and other social institutions.

The contract for the corridor improvement works has a value of over 364 million lei, money allocated from the loan offered to the Government of the Republic of Moldova by the World Bank within the Local Road Improvement Program.

The rehabilitation of the sections will be completed by the end of March 2022, according to ASD.
