As many as 1,407 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hour

Chisinau, 15 October /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 8,436 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and1,407 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Eleven out of these cases are import ones. Thus, 313,849 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 21 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (9 physicians, 6 medical assistants, 6 auxiliary staff employees).

As many as 2,554 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 183 are in extremely serious condition and 26 patients are connected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 7,853 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 16,644 are under supervision at home.

Another 1,352 people have been treated. As many as 294,229 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 35 deaths triggered by COVID-19and 7,172 people have died of coronavirus in all.
