Brand Văleni - holiday village developing in southern Moldova

Chisinau, 18 October /MOLDPRES/- Văleni village, Cahul district, can become a local and international tourist destination, especially after four new rural houses have been opened: La Savetuca, La Boieru, Popasul La taifas, Bujorii de acasa.

Also here, there is a fair where you can find fish, vegetables and fruits, handicrafts, local specialties, especially for those who appreciate natural garden products and grown by the villagers.

"Tourists come to Văleni to discover the view of the Lower Prut. With a total area of ​​over 14.7 thousand hectares, the reservation includes nine localities in Cahul district, including 824 hectares of forest. No less than 200 species of birds live here, 40 species of mammals and grow over 300 types of plants, many of which are included in the Red Book of Moldova. Lunca Prutului is the gateway to the Danube Delta Reserve, being at the intersection of three major corridors for bird migration. And from 2018, the Lower Prut Biosphere Reserve is included in the global network of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization ", a communiqué of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) reads.

Văleni - holiday village is the brand that the community tends to, this being its engine of local economic development. The Government of Switzerland and UNDP Moldova, within the project Migration and Local Development, supports the locality in its development path.
