Chisinau, 18 October /MOLDPRES/ - Five novels by Moldovan writers of the 1960s generation have been discussed in Bucharest within a project titled, The Romanian novel on the left bank of Prut, initiated this year.

The Romanian novel on the left bank of Prut is a cultural project of the Arbor association for culture and arts, carried out in partnership with the Chisinau-based Mihail Kogalniceanu National Literature Museum. The project’s goal is to familiarize the public of Romania with five novels of Bessarabian writers who wrote in 1960s. It is about the writers Vasile Vasilache, Vladimir Besleaga, Ion Druta, Ariadna Salari and Aureliu Busuioc.

Contacted by MOLDPRES, the head of the Arbor association, Victoria Nagy Vajda, said that this project was not a mere act of promotion, but an interpretative approach, a placement of the Romanian literature in a wider context.

The audio discussions can be listened on the webpage of the Arbor association: https://www.arborinstitute.eu/podcasts-literatura/.
