Northern Development Region Days launched

Chisinau, 19 October /MOLDPRES/- The North Regional Development Agency (ADR) has launched the seventh edition of the Northern Development Region Days, which provides for a program of activities to be carried out in October-November.

The events included on the agenda of the Northern Development Region Days will take place in Bălți, Fălești, Drochia and Călărășeuca (Ocnița). The launch ceremony took place yesterday, in online format.

During the Northern Development Region Days, the projects for improving the water supply services in Falesti and Drochia will be inaugurated (October 20). Round tables and conferences on regional development perspectives will also be organized. On November 17, the economic event Doing Business in Moldova will be organized in Balti.

At the end of November, in Călărășeuca (Ocnița) will take place the reception at the completion of the works within the project of modernization of the tourist infrastructure by building the access road to the Monastery Adormirea Maicii Domnului.

"Through this event, we promote the Northern Development Region, drive the attraction of funding sources for projects in the Northern Regional Operational Program and support regional actors in creating partnerships. At the same time, among the objectives of the 7th edition of the Days of the Northern Development Region are the promotion of the regional development policy in the north of the country and the results of the implementation of the regional development policy; attracting external funds for the implementation of the North ROP; promoting the economic and investment potential of the Northern Development Region within the Doing Business event in Moldova ”, according to ADR North.

The event is organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development and the Environment, Investment Agency, Project Advising the Government of the Republic of Moldova on economic policies, Project Modernization of Local Public Services in Republic of Moldova both implemented by GIZ Moldova, the Office of the Marshal of the Greater Poland Voivodeship (Wielkopolska, Poland), the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development (VARAM) of Latvia, Balti, Soroca and Edinet Branches of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova, local public authorities and entrepreneurs from the Northern Development Region, etc.
