Contest occasioned by EU Sustainable Energy Week to be held in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 20 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Agency for Energy Efficiency (AEE), in partnership with the Chisinau city hall, has launched a creation contest titled, The energy efficiency week in my school, held among pupils of the primary and gymnasium education cycle. The action fits the EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW), marked on 25-29 October this year.  

The contest’s goal is to promote the energy efficiency and the renewable energy in schools and lyceums and to also give pupils possibility to contribute to the awareness of their benefits for the well-being of the family and the planet.  

During 15 years, the EU Sustainable Energy Week has been the most important annual event dedicated to renewable sources of energy and energy efficiency from Europe and is organized by the European Commission.  

„The Week’s key message has always regarded the importance of saving energy and presently, this is more topical than ever. The EU Sustainable Energy Week is an excellent opportunity to start the energy education at the primary education institutions and gymnasiums, ‘’ the AEE director, Alexandru Ciudin, said.
