Moldovan interior ministry launched national crime prevention operation

Chisinau, 21 October /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Internal Affairs today launched the national crime prevention operation, Safe autumn!.

According to the Ministry of Interior, the purpose of the action is to improve the reaction time on several segments regarding the prevention and deterrence of violations and crimes.

Three subdivisions of the ministry will be involved in the campaign: employees of the General Inspectorate of Police, the General Inspectorate of Carabinieri and the General Inspectorate of Border Police. They will form mixed teams and work together for the safety of the people.

Police, carabineers and border guards will patrol road traffic, monitor compliance with Covid-19 protection measures and ensure public order and security to prevent crime, including cross-border crime.

Also, the mixed teams will carry out patrols with different cars of the MAI subdivisions, regardless of the type of action in which they will be involved.
