State of emergency in public health extended until 30 November

Chisinau, 28 October /MOLDPRES/- The Extraordinary National Commission for Public Health (CNESP) decided to extend until 30 November 2021 throughout Moldova the state of public health emergency declared by the CNESP Decision of September 9, 2021, with the possibility of revising the deadline in depending on the evolution of the epidemiological situation at national level.

The Commission decision was taken taking into account the analysis of the evolution of the epidemiological situation at national and international level, with the aggravation of epidemiological indicators - until October 25, 2021 in the Republic of Moldova were registered 329,294 cases of COVID-19, of which 14,295 are active cases.

Also, mortality in recent days was 6.9 deaths per hundred thousand population, up 18% compared to the previous week and 156% compared to the previous month. The number of deaths registered in the Republic of Moldova during the pandemic period is 7,497, of which 81% occurred in people over 60 years of age.

The extraordinary territorial commissions of public health will ensure the revision of all the approved decisions, bringing them in accordance with the decisions of the Extraordinary National Commission of Public Health.
