Ukrainian company Naftogaz provides natural gas to Moldova

Chisinau, 28 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Ukrainian company Naftogaz is recorded as provider and partner in ensuring Moldova’s energy security, in the fourth round of tenders launched by the Energocom company for the purchasing of 1.5 million cubic metres of natural gas.

The Public Property Agency (APP) confirms that the volumes bought in the first three days of tender have been already received.

The tenders started by the Energocom central energy provider are necessary for buying certain quantities of natural gas from alternative sources, in order to balance the volume and maintain the pipelines functional. This occurs for reasons that Moldova presently does not receive the needed quantity of natural gas on behalf of Gazprom.
