Moldovan tax body initiated actions to recover debts of private people

Chisinau, 2 November /MOLDPRES/- The State Tax Service (SFS) informed the taxpayers private people, who are in arrears with the payment of the real estate tax and / or land tax about the initiation of the actions for the recovery of the debts. The deadline for payment has been exceeded, this being the date of June 30, 2021.

"In order to issue the payment notice corresponding to the current situation, please contact the Local Taxes and Fees Collection Service (SCITL) of the mayor's office in the administration area where the real estate is located or the Tax Service Directorate in the administration area to receive the information on the outstanding amount ", indicates SFS.

According to the institution, payment can be made in various ways: in cash, at the nearest financial institution; through payment terminals or the post office; online, through the Government Electronic Payments Service MPay (www.mpay.gov.md) or through the official website of SFS (www.sfs.md),  internet banking / mobile application of the financial institution that serves you, with the selection of the Mpay service.

At the same time, the Tax Office mentions that, in order to facilitate the use of online payment methods, the Guide on payment of taxes and fees was developed through the MPay service and the electronic service "Online payment of taxes and fees by individuals."

Additionally, in case of non-payment of arrears to the national public budget, the SFS will have to apply the provisions of the Fiscal Code in the part related to the forced execution of payments, the quoted source states.
