Moldovan official journal roundup for today

Chisinau, 5 November /MOLDPRES/- The Official Journal published today the Government Action Plan for 2021-2022. The measures included in the Plan ensure the achievement of the sustainable development objectives set in Moldova of the Good Times Government Program, as well as the international commitments of the Republic of Moldova.

The document covers 26 areas of activity and encompasses a number of commitments, the fulfillment of which will have a favorable impact on the economy, society and the environment. The basic objectives include: ensuring good governance, streamlining state spending, digital transformation of the public and private sector, increasing the competitiveness of domestic products and services, modernizing and strengthening health and education systems, ensuring order and security and promoting a balanced foreign policy.

According to the plan, special emphasis will be placed on reforming the justice sector. Eradicating corruption and ensuring transparent justice with independent and honest actors will contribute to the development of a democratic society, the creation of a favorable investment environment and the assurance of citizens' rights.

The Government's work will also be aimed at combating poverty and social inequities. In this regard, concrete measures are foreseen, including the increase of the minimum disability pension, the creation of a social assistance program for the elderly, and increase of the amount of the single childbirth allowance and the monthly allowances for raising them.

For the successful realization of the Action Plan, the Executive will ensure the continuous professional development of civil servants, the clear delimitation of the roles between institutions, their depoliticization and transparency. The final goal is to modernize the public administration at central and local level in order to provide accessible and quality services to the citizens and business environment of the Republic of Moldova.
