Moldovan president, young people discuss subject on deforestation during hiking in Moldova

Chisinau, 6 November /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today was in hiking with more young people, active promoters of the environmental protection, the presidential press service has reported.

The head of state and young people walked by foot in a forest from the Donici village, central Orhei district, up to the Lupa-Recea village, Straseni district, passing by deforested areas on the itinerary.

The discussions between President Maia Sandu and young people were focused on the issue of deforestation in Moldova. ‘’I discussed with young people about the fact that we must stop the illegal cutting of forests and about what we can do both together and each one individually, in order to protect and extend the forest areas. We must act today, so that we have a clean and sound country tomorrow,’’ the head of state said.
