Moldovan government's reserve fund reestablished with 7.8 million lei, non-used in last snap parliamentary elections

Chisinau, 10 November /MOLDPRES/ - The government’s reserve fund will be reestablished with the sum of 7.8 million lei, given that these financial means were not used by the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) for the organization and carrying out of the snap parliamentary elections, held on 11 July. The cabinet members today took a decision to this effect, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The money will be used, in order to promptly meet certain needs of financing in unpredictable and emergency situations, which come about during one budgetary year, according to the regulation on the management of government’s emergency funds (Government Decision No 862/2015).
Financial means amounting to 92,468 thousands lei were allocated to the Central Electoral Commission for the organization and holding of the 11 July 2021 snap parliamentary polls, of which 84,542.1 thousands lei were turned to account.
