Moldovan employees with reduced working regime to be able to benefit from assistance on behalf of state

Chisinau, 10 November /MOLDPRES/ - The state will provide assistance to the employees with reduced working regime, in the context of the changes triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic. The cabinet today approved a decision to this effect and the regulation on the providing of help to the employees with reduced working regime, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
Thus, The National Employment Agency (ANOFM), through the territorial subdivisions, will consider the applications submitted by employers through the single desk of electronic reporting – www.raportare.gov.md and the assistance will be paid directly to the employers.
The quantum of the assistance per day could be established at a level of up to 50 per cent of the average salary per day, forecast for the current year. About 22 million lei was provided for in the state budget in 2021 for the payment of these benefits.
It is worth mentioning that the draft will contribute to the maintaining of the work of the economic agents on the period of the social and economic crisis, such as the COVID-19 pandemic or other emergency situations.
According to the labour and social protection minister, the goal of this mechanism is to preserve the jobs on the period with reduced activity. It could be enforced also in other crisis situations than the ones triggered by the pandemic situation.
