Moldovan tax body registered over 14.3 thousand leases in early 2021

Chisinau, 11 November /MOLDPRES/- In January -October 2021, the State Tax Service (SFS) registered 14,318 leases, increasing by 24.81% or 3,555 more contracts compared to the similar period of 2020.

As a result of the voluntary compliance actions undertaken by the Tax Office, 4,670 individuals were identified who lease / rent real estate, without timely registration of contracts. According to the institution, for 616 individuals, who lease real estate and did not comply with legal provisions, were calculated additionally for payment to the budget: basic payments - 758.5 thousand lei, penalties - 53 thousand lei and fines - 111.5 thousand lei.

The State Tax Service reminds that, in accordance with the Fiscal Code, prrivate people who do not carry out entrepreneurial activity and transfer in possession and / or use real estate, pay income tax in the amount of 7% of the monthly value of the contract.

"Within three days from the date of concluding the contract, the persons mentioned above must register the contract concluded with the State Fiscal Service. This tax is paid monthly, at the latest on the 25th of the current month ", SFS said.
