Moldovan PM says government cleaned from compromised people in three months

Chisinau, 11 November /MOLDPRES/ - The government in the last three months has been cleaned of compromised people; we ensured the leaving from positions of 355 civil servants from ministries, agencies and state enterprises. We have stopped schemes of hundreds of millions in procurements at state agencies. Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita today made statements to this effect in the government’s activity report for the first 100 days of mandate.    

According to the PM, the state can become stronger only with honest people or ‘’this is the commitment taken by the Gavrilita Government before the citizens and which we will continue to fulfill during the entire mandate.’’

„With the support of colleagues from parliament, we promote a real reform of justice and we change not only the laws, but also the compromised people, just as the citizens asked us to do. The people want justice and an advanced and independent justice, in a country where billions of dollars and millions of hopes have been stolen so far, without anyone to bear responsibility,’’ the prime minister said.  

„Are many things left to be done? Yes. The good news is that we have many hundreds of days ahead, in order to work together for a Moldova in which each person lives with dignity, where each person can turn to good account the potential and where everybody enjoy justice and functional institutions, on which one can rely,’’ Natalia Gavrilita noted.   

The report by the Gavrilita government, titled ‘’148 actions for the good of people,’’ has 20 chapters and regards such sectors as: Backing citizens during crisis; Management of the Covid-19 crisis; Management of the crisis on the natural gas market; De-blocking of the foreign financing and the budgetary discipline; European integration; Bilateral diplomacy; Diplomacy in the citizen’s interest; Education; Heritage and culture; Management of emergency situations; Traffic  security; Modernization and digitalization of services provided to citizens; Labour Protection; Fight against corruption and the justice reform; Fight with criminality; Environmental protection; Reorganization of the central administration; Transnistrian settlement.
