Chisinau, 11 November /MOLDPRES/ - The MPs today turned down the annual activity report of the Audiovisual Council (CA) for 2020. The lawmakers’ decision will entail the subsequent dismissal of the CA members.

After more hours of discussions and retorts, the MPs ruled to reject the CA’s activity report, presented by the Council’s head, Ala Ursu-Antoci. More lawmakers came up with criticism against the Council’s members, accusing them of political partisanship.

In accordance with the new amendments recently made to the Code of audiovisual media services, the rejection by the parliament of the annual activity report entails the de jure dismissal of the Audiovisual Council’s members.
