Chisinau, 11 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE) expresses deep concern about the worsening of the situation at the border between the European Union and Belarus.
The massive concentration of people born in far-way geographic regions in this part of Europe shows the organized character of the flow of migrants. We deem as unacceptable the fact that the health and life of the people from the border region is endangered because of the difficult conditions.
The fact that this crisis leads to the ever deeper worsening of the relations between the European Union and Belarus is regrettable. The triggering of such crises brings no benefit and the people in the epicenter of the situation will only suffer.
In the present circumstances, it is necessary to cease the concentration of migrants in the border zone and to ensure the access of international organizations for providing humanitarian assistance. We also deem as necessary actions aimed at the political de-tensing of the situation with the involvement of all relevant actors.
