Alley of high school pupils to be set up in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 12 November /MOLDPRES/- A group of pupils of the 10th and 11th grades from the high schools in the capital, finalists of the intellectual games tournament, planted young birches on the street alignment of Ciuflea Street, in the perimeter of bd. Ștefan cel Mare - str. 31 August 1989, opposite the building of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, the location will be called Alley of High School Students.
The action took place within the municipal initiative of urban planning and is part of the context of the 585th anniversary of the first documentary attestation of the capital, being supported by municipal authorities. Along with the young people, the mayor of Chisinau, Ion Ceban, the praetor of the Center sector, Pavel Rusu and representatives of non-governmental organizations were present at the event.
The mayor of the capital thanked the students for the initiative to plant trees, emphasizing the importance of community involvement in the development of the city. According to him, for a year, about 70 thousand trees were planted in the capital.
