Vienna city hall donated special vehicle to Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 12 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Vienna city hall has donated a special vehicle for clearing snow to the Chisinau municipality’s authorities.

The Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, today received the donation of the Vienna authorities. Attending the event, along with the Chisinau mayor, were also Ambassador of Austria to Moldova Stella Avallone and the acting director of the municipal enterprise Exdrupo, Sergiu Tomita.

The special vehicle, of MAN model, made in 2018, was provided for free to Chisinau within the programme on humanitarian assistance of the Vienna city hall. Ambassador of Austria to Moldova Stella Avallone said the Vienna authorities would continue supporting the municipality in diverse projects, including in the health care field, waste management or in aspects dealing with the management of the emergency service.

For his part, Ion Ceban thanked the Austrian officials for the gesture made by the Vienna administration, with which Chisinau established cooperation relations. The mayor noted that, on the next period, after more years of waiting, the Exdrupo municipal enterprise would be supplied with new special vehicles, with financial resources provided for in the municipal budget to this end and a tender announced.
