Moldovan, French officials broach cooperation

Chisinau, 13 November /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration held a meeting in Paris with Henri Poupart-Lafarge, Chairman of the Board and General Manager of the Alstom Group, and Philippe Deleur, Director of Public Affairs. The discussion was related to the launch of bilateral cooperation and prospect of investments in our country, MAEIE press service has reported.
"As Moldova needs an active economic diplomacy, aimed at attracting investments in the national economy, each external trip contains at least one item on the agenda to achieve this goal. The company is a world leader in integrated transport systems, specialized in the production of railway equipment and high-speed trains, an active promoter of sustainable mobility ", Nicu Popescu said.
The modernization of our railways with the support of France was also one of the central topics of the agreements agreed during the visit to Chisinau of the head of the French diplomacy Jean-Yves Le Drian.
