Moldovan sculptor celebrates 75th birthday

Chisinau, 14 November /MOLDPRES/- Sculptor and professor Iurie Horovski turned 75 today.

He performed on the frontispiece of the building of the National Theater „V. Alecsandri ”from Bălți, the sculptural composition“ Teatru ”, depicting the three founding actors of the Bălți Theater: Iulian Codău, Anatol Pânzaru and Mihai Volontir (1988).

He also signed the monumental sculpture "High Relief" in the club "Budda-Bar" in Moscow (1999). His works have participated in auctions, are kept in museums, galleries, personal collections in European countries, USA, State Gallery "Tretyakov" in Moscow, Russian State Museum in St. Petersburg, National Museum of Art of Moldova, Collection "Hose Fabrigo ”from Madrid, the“ Berti ”Collection from Amsterdam, etc.

He was a member of the Fine Artists Union of the MSSR (1970).
