Moldovan radio journalist launches book of poems at Chisinau municipal library

Chisinau, 15 November /MOLDPRES/ - A radio journalist, Zina Izbas, today launched a book titled Baladă cu timp rebel (Ballade with rebel time) at the B.P. Hasdeu Municipal Library.

According to the organizers, the volume includes poems from the 2018, 2019 and 2020. The poems create an atmosphere of nostalgia, during autumn and winter, meditating upon the country’s destiny, the uncertainty and injustices of the life.

Zina Izbas was born in the Helesteni village, Marinici commune, central Nisporeni district, on 15 November 1954. Izbas graduated from the Philology Faculty of the Moldovan State University in 1978. She debuted with a volume of poems in 1988. Izbas is member of the Writers union of Moldova, the Moldovan Journalists’ Union, member of the Journalists Professionals from Moldova. For more years, she has been editor and presenter at the Radio Moldova. Zina Izbas was awarded the Civic Merit Medal for prodigious work in the journalism field in 2012.
