Moldovan national football team failed to qualify for World Cup in Qatar

Chisinau, 16 November /MOLDPRES/- The national football team of the Republic of Moldova lost yesterday with 1-4 in front of the Austrian national team and is on the last place in the group, missing the qualification for the World Championship in Qatar.
The Moldovan team was defeated, away, in the last match of the World Championship qualifiers. Out of the ten matches played, the Moldovan players managed a draw, in the other nine being defeated.
In the other matches in group F, Scotland won from Denmark 2-0, and Israel - from the Faroe Islands, score 3-2.
The Danish national team accumulated 27 points and placed first in the group, qualifying for the World Cup in Qatar. The Scottish team, with 23 points, ranked 2nd, ensuring its presence at the dam for the 2022 World Cup. It is followed by Israel, Austria (16 points each) and the Faroe Islands (4).
