Chisinau, 18 November /MOLDPRES/ - The activity report by the National Anticorruption Centre (CNA) for the period 2016-2021 today was turned down by the lawmakers. The document was read in parliament’s plenum in the absence of the CNA head.

At the plenary meeting, the head of the juridical commission for rules and immunities, Olesea Stamate, said that CNA had not been independent in its work and the institution’s leadership did not organize and ensure the enforcement of the anticorruption legislation efficiently.

“The result indicators showed the existence of a deficient management, lack of effective control as to the CNA’s activity, as well as institutional practices which hit the institution’s image,’’ Stamate
