Moldovan wanted by Interpol extradited from Czech Republic

Chisinau, 22 November /MOLDPRES/- A 37-year-old man, born in Bulboaca village, Anenii Noi district in 2020 in an international search on Interpol channels has been detained in the Czech Republic.

The Moldavian was announced in search to be arrested and extradited at the request of the Anenii Noi Police Inspectorate, accused of committing the crime provided by Art. 168 (2) "Forced labor on two or more persons".

"He, in 2017, being in the Czech Republic, allegedly recruited through social networks several Moldovans to work in construction, promising them a salary of over one thousand euros per month", according to the Police of the Republic of Moldova.

Arriving in the Czech Republic, the victims would have received for the entire period worked - three months only part of the money. Moreover, the accused bought them tickets and transported them to Moldova without paying their arrears, according to the quoted source.

As a result of the joint actions of the Moldovan and Czech police, with the support of BNC Interpol, the man was detained in the Czech Republic and extradited to the Republic of Moldova by air.
