Chisinau, 24 November /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet of ministers today approved a draft decision on the transmission and change of the category of purpose of several grounds, which will be used in works of rehabilitation and extension of several national roads, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

It is about the road segments R1 Chisinau-Ungheni-border with Romania (the road segment km 63-Bahmut-Romanovca) and M3 Chisinau-Comrat-Giurgiulesti-border with Romania (the road segment Ciumai-Vulcanesti).

Under the draft, the grounds will switched from agricultural purpose into the category of lands meant for industry, transports and telecommunications. Hence, they are to be transmitted from the administration of the Ungheni and, respectively, Cahul, Forestry Enterprises to the management of the State Administration of Roads.

If lands covered with woods are to be withdrawn from the forest fund, the state forestry units turn to account the wood mass and the beneficiary is obliged to compensate the damage in the way established by the legislation. Thus, the Public Property Agency, jointly with state forestry units, will ensure the identification of grounds for afforestation, with their transmission to the state forestry fund, in a six-month period.

The expenses provided for the cutting of trees and changing the category of purpose will be paid by the State Administration of Roads, according to the execution project.
