Moldovan regional press to be supported by project carried out by EU, Slovakia

Chisinau, Nov. 25 / MOLDPRES /- An agreement on project dedicated to the European Union's support for the country's regional press was signed yesterday between EU Delegation to Moldova and Slovak Agency for International Development Cooperation (ASCID). The European Union will provide support to the country's regional institutions through a project implemented in cooperation with the Slovak Agency.

The project aims to provide assistance to the local media, from the perspective of creating media content, in developing business skills, as well as in facilitating access to experts to improve media sustainability. It will also provide support for media start-ups.

"The European Union and member states, as Team Europe, continue to remain close to the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, providing dedicated support to various sectors, the media being an important tool for democratic reforms and raising awareness of key issues related to life citizens ”, a communiqué of ASCID reads.
