Qatar donated two electric cars to interior ministry

Chisinau, Nov. 25 / MOLDPRES /. Two electric cars, an ambulance and a fire truck were donated today to the Ministry of Internal Affairs by Qatar Embassy in Chisinau.

The donation was made on the instructions of Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Qatar, in the context of continuing bilateral cooperation. The donation ceremony was attended by Secretary of State of the Ministry of Interior Serghei Diaconu, and Hamad Bin Rashid of Athba, the Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the State of Qatar in the Republic of Moldova.

The Qatari business manager said that today's donation will help raise the level of services provided by the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Moldova in the field of security, safety and fire prevention.

Serghei Diaconu thanked the State of Qatar for the support and the Embassy for the efforts made, which contributed to raising the level of cooperation between the two countries.

Today's donation is the second of the current month offered by the State of Qatar to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. On November 10, a batch of computer technology was sent to the police. This June about 3.5 tons of medical aid were provided to Chisinau by the State of Qatar in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
