Balti to implement ecological plan supported by EBRD

Chisinau, Nov. 26 / MOLDPRES /- Balti will implement own Action Plan for a Green City, being included in a program of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). A decision to this effect was approved this week by local councilors.

According to local authorities, this is considered the first step in attracting investment.

The document represents the concept for a harmonious development of Balti municipality, transforming it into an urban area where activities are organized in synergy with the environment, so that it is capable of continuous regeneration to ensure a better quality of life of citizens.

To implement this plan, the local public authority will cooperate with national and international financial institutions, development partners and private investors, "for whom the potential for sustainable development means the European path that represents the path to success", according to the document.
