Targu-Mures library from Moldovan capital marks 25th anniversary of foundation

Chisinau, 27 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Days of the Targu-Mures Library at its 25th anniversary of foundation took place in Chisinau on 25-26 November.

In these 25 years, the collection of books increased from year to year, both through procurements of the B.P. Hasdeu Municipal Library and through valuable donations on behalf of the Mures County Library and personalities from Targu Mures. While in 1996, there were about 5,000 volumes of Romanian books donated by the institution’s reader in the person of the Dimitrie Poptamas, the director of the Mures County Library, then at present, there are more than 43,000 documents. The Library has over 4,000 active users. The first director of the library was Claudia Satravca and the current one is Stela Tymofti.
