Chisinau preparing for winter

Chisinau, Nov. 30 / MOLDPRES /- Chisinau city hall has purchased ten more snowplows.

The head of the General Directorate of Housing and Communal Planning and Development, Ion Burdiumov, announced at today's online meeting of the municipal services that the tender for the purchase of ten Hako cars has been completed and the vehicles will be delivered this week to the direction lead.

This is the third tender for the purchase of road snow removal equipment carried out by the Housing and Communal and Development Department this year. In 2021, this subdivision also purchased: five snow vans and tractors equipped with trailers, blades and brushes.

Together with the ten Hako type machines equipped with blades and brushes, recently purchased, the municipality subdivision has a total of: 24 Hako City Master cars, equipped with snow removal mechanisms, blade, brush and salt shaker; 22 MTZ tractors with cleaning mechanisms, blade and brush; 5 LSR 60 tractors with blade and brush; 15 LSXR 50 tractors with blade and brush; 5 mini-loaders with blade-plow, brush and pickles; 10 dump vans for cleaning waiting stations, waste storage platforms.

Also, to combat icing and snow removal of sidewalks, alleys, streets and courtyards of apartment buildings, the Housing Department has a stock of about 1,200 tons of salt and 10 tons of liquid anti-skid material - calcium chloride.
