Moldovan parliament votes fiscal, customs policy for 2022 in second reading

Chisinau, 6 December /MOLDPRES/ - Fifty four MPs today voted the draft of the fiscal and customs policy for 2022 in the second reading.

The document’s provisions include the increase in the quantum of the personal exemption from 25,200 lei to 27,000 lei; increase in the major personal exemption from 30,000 to 31,000 lei; increase in the quantum of major exemption for husband/wife from 18,900 lei to 19,800 lei; doubling of the quantum of the exemption for the maintained people from 4,500 lei to 9,000 lei; increase in the quantum of the adult maintained people from 18,900 lei to 19,800 lei.   

At the same time, the quota of the withholding income tax from the earnings from games of chance is increased from 12 to 18 per cent.

Also, the parliament abrogated the exemption from the income tax of the incomes got by private people from the delivery of secondary raw material and introduced the exemption from the income tax of the income sources of the administration of the park for the information technology.   

The draft provides for the cancellation of the 2.5-per cent tax on the mobile telephony services, which will help the mobile telephony operators speed up the implementation of roaming with the European Union’s countries.

Also, excise duties on some tobacco products are envisaged. The document also stipulates the increase of the minimum salary of the public sector employees from 2,200 lei to 3,100 lei. The draft establishes also the return to the providing of the annual bonus to the public sector employees.
