Moldova's State Administration of roads does not accept repair of road segment in central district over works' bad quality

Chisinau, 6 December /MOLDPRES/ - The State Administration of Roads (ASD) today informed that it had not accepted the periodical repair works carried out inadequately by the entrepreneur commercial society, STACI GRUP Ltd within a contract from August 2020.    

According to the institution, following the verification of asphalting works carried out on the R20 road, Orhei-Rezina-Rabnita from the Step-Soci settlement, central Orhei district, ASD found out that the works did not meet the quality norms and the entrepreneur was asked to remedy the non-conformities.     

“In 2021, the commercial society, STACI GRUP Ltd, was repeatedly warned about the need to finish the contractual works financed from the road fund; yet, the entrepreneur did not intervene in any way. Through the non-carrying out of its contractual obligations, the economic agent create discomfort in traffic, endangers the traffic safety and triggers accident situations on the R20 road segment,’’ ASD said.   

The State Administration of Roads says it takes all necessary legal actions, for the entrepreneur to fulfill its obligations stipulated in the contract, including through the imposing of penalties for delay, retaining the performance bond and submitting a proposal on introducing the entrepreneur commercial society, STACI GRUP Ltd, in the list of interdictions of economic operators, under the Government Decision from 2016.
