Chisinau, 6 December /MOLDPRES/ - The MPs today approved the draft law on the state budget for 2022 in the second reading.
Under the document, revenues worth 50.1 billion lei are estimated for the next year, increasing by 9.2 per cent against 2021; in terms of expenses, 65.2 billion lei is envisaged, up by 13.1 per cent against this year. The budget deficit will be of 15.1 billion lei.
The increase in revenues is due, mostly, to the revenues from taxes and duties, following the improvement of the macroeconomic indexes and fiscal policy measures. As for the expenses, more than a half of them will be meant for the social protection sector, education, health.
Thus, the spending for the Health Care functional group will be 8.9 billion lei or 13.7 per cent of the state budget’s expenses; 13.6 billion lei will go to the Education functional group or 20.9 per cent and 14.8 billion lei will be used for Social Protection – 22.7 per cent of the state budget expenditures.
The principal sources of financing the deficit are the external sources ( net flows of foreign loans for budgetary support and implementation of projects financed from external sources) and domestic sources (emission of state securities and means from the sale and privatization of public assets).
